GO2 for Lung Cancer is at the forefront of everything happening in lung cancer. They are the go-to source for one-on-one assistance, supportive connections, treatment information, and finding the best care close to home. They are the place to turn to for the latest research and special initiatives that increase survivorship. GO2 for Lung Cancer is known for improving health policies and leading public awareness to shift the perception of this disease from one of stigma to one of hope. The organization serves as teachers, guides, advocates, and supporters, all aimed at confronting lung cancer.
GO2 for Lung Cancer relentlessly confronts lung cancer on every front, every day, for everyone. Founded by patients and survivors, the organization is dedicated to increasing survival rates for those at risk, diagnosed, and living with lung cancer.
Their approach includes:
Reaching patients, survivors, caregivers, and those at risk with life-saving and supportive information to help them navigate lung cancer – wherever they are in their journey. Their HelpLine, Living Room series, LungMATCH treatment navigation, PhoneBuddy mentoring program, educational materials, and targeted outreach to underserved communities offer one-on-one assistance, supportive connections, and screening, treatment, and survivorship information tailored to each person’s unique needs.
Connecting with doctors, nurses, navigators, and researchers who work tirelessly to provide access to the highest quality screening and treatment in local hospitals – where most people receive care. Their Centers of Excellence network defines what excellence means and applies best practices across the entire care continuum. This includes improving the management of incidental pulmonary nodules and increasing access to comprehensive biomarker testing that directs people to the right treatment at the right time.
Expanding their community to raise awareness and encourage more people to take action to confront stigma and demand change.
Securing more federal research funding.
Enlisting more patients and caregivers in their patient-driven research initiatives.
