Inside Bonita Unified: A Strategic Outlook with Superintendent Wien

At the Rotary Club of San Dimas meeting on June 11, 2025, at 12 Noon via Zoom, members will hear from Matt Wien, Superintendent of the Bonita Unified School District. With more than two decades of experience in education and a deep connection to the communities of San Dimas and La Verne, Wien will share his vision for the district's future. He will discuss plans to uphold the district’s mission of creating a safe, challenging, and comprehensive learning environment that shapes character, nurtures intellect, and builds the skills students need to succeed in a rapidly changing world.

Superintendent Wien will outline the district’s eight strategic areas of focus, which include student needs, curriculum and assessment, staff development, technology, and community engagement. He will also highlight projected initiatives aimed at maintaining Bonita Unified’s place among California’s top-performing districts. With a strong emphasis on equity, mastery, and results, Wien’s presentation is expected to reflect a forward-thinking commitment to academic excellence and a collaborative educational culture that benefits students, staff, and the broader community.
