Feeding Military Heroes Food Drive: Addressing Food Insecurity Among Military Families

The challenges faced by military families extend beyond their duty to our country, and one such challenge is food insecurity. Shockingly, over 22,000 active-duty families, 213,000 National Guard/Reservist families, and 1.2 million Veterans grapple with food insecurity.
 
Since 2022, the Satellite Rotary Club of Military Family Support has been dedicated to alleviating this issue. Through our committed efforts, we have provided over 23 tons of food and essential supplies to Marine Corps and Navy families via the Pelican Pantry at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms and the Marine Corps Camp Pendleton Food Pantry. Now, we are expanding our impact to include Army families at Fort Irwin and Air Force families at Los Angeles Air Force Base.
 
To further support these efforts, we are hosting our semi-annual Feeding Military Heroes Food Drive on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 9 AM to 3 PM, at the San Dimas Masonic Lodge, located at 220 N. Monte Vista Avenue, San Dimas, CA.
 
We encourage community members to contribute by donating food staples. For added convenience, we can provide donation boxes along with a poster-sized flyer to help spread the word.
