Updated SoCalGas employee uniforms information and resources that can help community members confidently identify our employees and authorized representatives when they are working in the field.
At SoCalGas, the safety of our customers, employees, and communities is fundamental to what we do. As part of our continued commitment to safe, reliable service, you may soon notice updated employee uniforms in your community.
Our employees regularly perform essential work, such as maintenance, inspections, repairs, and service visits, to help keep your natural gas service and community safe. Depending on the work, some visits are scheduled, while others may occur without advance notice.
Key identifiers of SoCalGas employees include:
- Updated uniforms with a recognizable SoCalGas logo
- An official photo identification badge, which you can request to see at any time
- Branded vehicles used by most field employees
In some cases, SoCalGas works with authorized contractors. While they may not wear branded uniforms or drive company vehicles, they are required to carry an official identification badge verifying their affiliation with SoCalGas. If someone claims to represent SoCalGas and you are unsure about their identity, please ask to see their identification badge or contact us at 1-800-427-2200 to verify.
